Text Notifications (SMS)
How Pellō's optional text alerts work, and how to turn them on or off.
Pellō is a personal accountability web app operated by Pello LLC. You set a personal goal, commit your own money against it, and pick a friend as Ref to confirm you followed through. This is not gambling, betting, or lending. Results and payments follow terms each participant accepts; a person may receive a payment as a Ref or in head-to-head, but never a prize based on chance. Every Pellō text is triggered by your own account activity.
What we text you
If you turn on text notifications, Pellō sends transactional alerts about your own account and challenges only: a welcome message after you opt in, an alert when a friend names you as Ref or challenges you, an alert when proof is submitted for you to review, a reminder 24 hours before a deadline, and a result or payment confirmation. We never send marketing or promotional texts. Message frequency varies with your activity, typically up to a few messages per week.
How to turn texts on
Text notifications are OFF by default for everyone and are entirely optional — they are never required to create an account or use Pellō. To turn them on, create a free account at app.pello.dev, open Profile, then Notifications, enter your mobile number, affirmatively check the box (it is not pre-checked), and press Save. A confirmation text is sent when you opt in. This is exactly what that opt-in looks like on your Profile:
Consent, rates, and opting out
By checking the box and saving, you agree to receive recurring automated account notifications from Pellō at the number you provide. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for help. You can also turn texts off at any time by unchecking the box in your Profile. Your phone number and SMS consent are never shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
